Trees produce the air we breethe; they filter the water that we drink; they provide us with our clothes and homes; and they provide habitat to around 80% of the world’s life.

Each year, around 15bn trees are cut down by humans, reducing the beauty and sustainability of our planet.

We are about doing our bit — as the Cryptocurrency community — to restore and protect the world around us, through restoring and planting as many trees possible, around the world.

Investing in TreePlant token does two things:

I. Supports reforestation — Each time somebody makes an investment in TreePlant Token (or submits a transaction) 2% of the investment is imeediately transferred to a secure fund, which will be used to plant trees to rebuild the rainforest.

2. Provides a sustainable investment — Whilst price volatility may be high in the early days, TreePlant token provides a sustainable and ecologically friendly investment forum. Our token number is capped and no new tokens will ever be produced, leading to an inflation free and sustainable investment fund, enabling you to support the world as you earn.

FAQ

1. How many TreePlant tokens are there? There are 100,000,000 TreePlant tokens, at the time of minting. This can never be increased and will decrease gradually, increasing scarcity, as outlined in point (2).
2. How is supply controlled? Each transaction results in a 4% net charge — 2% of which goes directly to the TreePlant fund (to plant new trees), 1% of which is burned, to reduce supply, and 1% of which is attributed to the founders’ fund.
3. What charity does the TreePlant fund go to? We work with several partner charities, to build a sustainable world and plant trees. Initially, we will work with ‘OneTreePlanted’, who conduct reforestation programmes in the Asian Himalayan Mountains. Please see https://onetreeplanted.org/pages/about-us for more details.
4. Is there a risk involved? Like all investments, value can go down as well as up. However, we believe that our inflation-proof structure and green-focused community will result in TreePlant token being a profitible and sustainable investment for our community.
